Presented by the Desmond-Fish Library in collaboration with Philipstown Aging at Home, the First Thursday with PAAH series features friendly, introductory workshops on topics of interest to adults and seniors in our community led by knowledgeable professionals.
This welcoming workshop will teach you how to spot, understand, and counteract misinformation and disinformation online. We’ll explore where it comes from and how to protect your loved ones from its influence, with a special focus on spotting AI-generated content.
Participants will learn quick, common-sense skills to spot falsehoods and misleading content and use their new detective abilities to test their skills against a gauntlet of real-life examples.
All ages are welcome, with special tips for seniors. We hope to see you on Thursday, March 6 at 2pm!
